Cardiovascular Technologist

Summary

Cardiology Services at National Jewish Health is seeking a full-time Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team. Our unit operates with a desirable Monday - Friday schedule with no nights, weekends or holidays. 

Cardiopulmonary Exercise Physiologists on our team work with an interdisciplinary and growing team that consists of Exercise Physiologists, RN's, Cardiac Sonographers and 12 providers help provide quality cardiac testing in an outpatient setting.

Position Summary
Responsible and accountable for performing high quality non-invasive cardiovascular procedures including ECG, Holter and Event monitoring in accordance with the standards set forth by the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the American Heart Association (AHA).  This position works within interdisciplinary teams to provide safe and personalized care for the patient

Essential Duties

1. Performs high quality electrocardiograms to assist the physician in the diagnosis of cardiac conditions in accordance with ACC and AHA standards.
2. Prepares and completes all required documentation in a thorough and accurate manner.
3. Completes all processing and distribution of studies to the medical record after editing and confirmation of final reports.
4. Provides excellent patient education to assure patient compliance on holter/event monitoring.
5. Participates in quality improvements processes on an on-going basis.
6. Performs all related responsibilities associated with Pulmonary Physiology testing to include operating and maintaining equipment in accordance with hospital and department safety policy and procedures.
7. Troubleshoots equipment throughout NJH related to ECG studies and provides education for other staff members.  
8. Provides guidance to less experienced staff to assure high quality exams on all patients.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. 
2. Work Experience: Cardiovascular medical experience preferred.  
3. Special Training, Certifications and Licensure: CPR/BLS required.

Salary Range: $20.00 - $25.00
