Serves in a generalist capacity to provide support in the functional areas of Human Resources including, but not limited to: recruitment, on-boarding, employment, retention, employee relations, organization development, training, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and off-boarding in compliance with regulatory and institutional policies.
- Serves as a first point of contact for assigned client groups. Provides a consultative approach to all types of employment matters, and when appropriate, determine when situations should escalate to Human Resources leadership.
- Advises and assists leadership and staff with interpretation and application of personnel policies, procedures and legal compliance. Protects the interests of employees and the institution in accordance with institution Human Resources policies and governmental laws and regulations.
- Conducts recruitment effort for exempt and nonexempt personnel, students and temporary employees; monitors career-pathing program; and writes and places advertisements.
- May handle employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing. May recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation.
- Assists with the development and administration of programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the department and institution.
- May develop and support with affirmative action program, files required reporting to regulatory agencies and Human Resources leadership, and maintains other required records.
- Assists with carrying out of institutional process of organization development that addresses issues such as succession planning, superior workforce development, key employee retention, organization design, and change management. Helps to monitor the institutions culture to assist in supporting the attainment of the institutions goals while promoting employee satisfaction.
- Develops or assists with in-house employee training systems that address institutional training needs including training needs assessment, new employee orientation or onboarding, management development, production cross-training, the measurement of training impact, and the transfer of learning.

- Demonstrates compliance with all state, federal and all other regulatory agency requirements.
- Education: Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required.
- Work Experience: A minimum of three (3) years related Human Resources experience, with knowledge in two (2) or more of the following areas; compensation, benefits, employee relations or employment required.
- Special Training, Certification or Licensure: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP and/or SHRM-SCP preferred
Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000
