Golden hours for Food Service!  Most hours are Monday through Friday.

National Jewish Health is currently seeking a Food Prep Worker to join our dedicated team in our kitchen and cafeteria.  Non-sectarian National Jewish Health is the leading respiratory hospital in the nation.  We are known worldwide for the treatment of patients with respiratory, cardiac, immune and related disorders, and for groundbreaking medical research.

This position will have a high level of impact on food prepared and especially focused on protecting patients and kids from allergies and cross-contamination.  Our Food Prep Workers collaborate with fellow crewmembers, clinic staff and other health professionals to provide outstanding patient-centered care.

Position Summary    

Performs food preparation functions in the kitchen and cafeteria as assigned to provide meals and nourishment for patients, staff and visitors.


Essential Duties    

  1. Performs basic cold food preparation for patients, cafeteria, school meals and catering functions.
  2. Prepares and assembles food items and supplies for patient room service, cafeteria food stations and beverages.
  3. Prepares and serves breakfast foods, grilled and hot food items from steam table per customer request. 
  4. Sets up the dessert counter, breakfast bar and salad bar daily.

  1. Performs as a back up to staff absences and vacancies, as necessary.

Salary Range: $15.00 - $15.91
