Summary

 

Position Summary
The Education Library Media Coordinator will work with school staff to manage the school library media and technology program.  This role will collaborate to provide an environment that nurtures the individual medical, educational, emotional, and physical needs of children diagnosed with chronic illness with rigorous, innovative, and authentic experiences. 

Essential Duties

  1. Selects, organizes, catalogs and purchases new and replacement print, software and hardware materials.
  2. Write and activates policies for Library Media use.
  3. Provides student programs such as regularly scheduled library center, individual research and study, storytelling, reading promotional activities and literacy programs.  Plans lessons and prepares teaching materials for student classes.
  4. Provides services to educational staff including collecting materials for curricular use, and provides professional materials when needed.
  5. Schedules and maintains technology equipment use and provides advisory services to staff.
  6. Assists with the supervision of students during lunch, recess, and between classes
  7. Assists on projects for the improvement and upgrading of the Library Media Center and curricular development
  8. Coordinates and secures grant funding for reading programs such as Book Clubs, Book Fair, One School One Book, and Read Across America
  9. Provides technical support for the school.
  10. Coordinate all curriculum resources
  11. Train and support students and staff in all of our technology devices, protocols, and programs (both for online and in person)
  12. Maintain all devices with updates/policies/etc. and be the liaison with IST as needed
  13. Serve as the administrator and set up all online programs and curriculum resources with usernames/passwords for FERPA, COPPA, and HIPPA compliance
  14. Serve as the administrator for flagged activities in GoGuardian - Admin, Teacher, and Beacon
  15. Maintain our management systems that track technology usage and appropriateness.
  16. Serve as the Google Workspace administrator.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Education: Master’s degree in Library Science, Library Media, or Information Learning Technologies required
  2. Work Experience: 3 years experience in education required. 
  3. Special Training, Certification or Licensure: Colorado Teaching Certification required. Library Media Specialist grade K-12 certification preferred.

 

Salary Range: $70,000 - $83,000
