Summary

Evidence of excellence in clinical practice and/or administration as shown by: Quality of care, Patient volumes, Referral patterns, Positions in professional societies, Subspecialty certification, Examiner for a specialty board, Significant participation on National Jewish and/or departmental committees and administration, Implementation of innovative clinical programs and Evidence of excellence in scholarly activities.

Usually a minimum of 20 peer-reviewed publications will be necessary to be considered for this rank. Publications should be based on outstanding, original, and innovative research findings and/or important clinical applications of basic science. For appointment or promotion to this rank, the six most important first author/senior author publications will be reviewed for evidence of original and significant scholarship. As appropriate, the development and dissemination of intellectual properties may also be considered. Established track record in funding an independent research program. This includes both salary or career development awards and competitive funding for the laboratory program. An established track record includes a demonstrated ability to renew competitive funding for the research program after completion of the first grant cycle. Contributions to build the Center's overall research program. Development/management of core research facilities or funding a component of a program project grant or its equivalent are examples of this type of contribution. Establishment of a national reputation as a researcher, especially as demonstrated by scholarship, publications, participation in NIH study sections and equivalent review groups, and/or offices in professional societies.

Salary Range: $150,000 - $300,000
