Summary

 

This is a very exciting time to join the National Jewish Health team as we are currently transitioning to Epic as our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. The Epic Credentialied Trainer (CT) is a new position and is critical in helping train end-users on how to use Epic. This is a great opportunity to make a huge impact and help create an excellent training program.  

Successful candidates will be comfortable with public speaking and enjoy teaching computer-based training classes and be a champion of this system change. Ideal candidates will have experience in the clinical modules of Epic, specifically the Ambulatory module.

This role is full-time (40 hours/week) and offers a hybrid schedule with some days working on our Main Campus located in Denver, CO and other days remotely.
 

Position Summary    

Serves as the trainer for the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and other associated clinical applications for current and new personnel to meet ongoing training needs.  


Essential Duties    

  1. Conducts organizational training programs, including preparing for trainings, setting up the training room, facilitating the training, following up on any outstanding questions, and collecting feedback from participants. 
  2. Monitors and reports the effectiveness of training on associates during the orientation period. Observes trends and patterns to identify improvement opportunities. Identifies optimization and standardization opportunities to provide a high level of performance.
  3. Maximizes the ability to facilitate and deliver training material using different platforms and mediums.
  4. Trains and credentials trainers for end-user training.  Acts as a liaison between the subject matter expert/build team and the end user.
  5. Serves as point person for questions on EMR from end-user on training team to help support organizational learning.   
  6. Conducts intentional rounding throughout the organization to evaluate learning needs and to maintain a presence for end-users and to allow for feedback, questions and knowledge refinement.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  2. Work Experience: 2 years coordinating and delivering relevant computer based training for adults required. Experience using EMR in a healthcare setting preferred. Previous experience in a healthcare setting as a subject matter expert preferred. 
  3. Special Training, Certification or Licensure: Obtain and maintain Epic Credentialed level of expertise in Epic based presentation(s) and competency exam(s) within 6 months of hire.


Salary Range: $63,000 - $73,000
