Summary

 

Position Summary
Manages all administrative, organizational, and monitoring aspects of life income gifts, expected bequest, estate gifts and state solicitations.

Essential Duties

  1. Manages all administrative aspects of life income gifts (CGA’s and Charitable Trusts), expected bequest gifts (Revocable and Irrevocable) and Estate gifts (matured bequests).  
  2. Receives and processes stock gifts transferred electronically, by certificate, or otherwise including using IRS approved methods to determine the value of gifts received and communicates value to all appropriate individuals and databases. 
  3. Assists fundraisers with planned gift proposals using planned giving software and/or preparing and/or sending accurate proposals digitally and/or via mail.
  4. Manages all planned gift information placing it in the appropriate database and hard files.  
  5. Oversees all planned gifts and works with donors, fundraisers, attorneys, advisors, NJH Finance Department and NJH Legal Department to bring gifts (especially estate gifts) to a timely close.
  6. Works with the Finance Department to prepare and send all life income payouts, tax receipts, and insurance premium invoices to donors in a timely fashion. 
  7. Assists AVP of Development, Planned Giving with all planned gift marketing. This includes creating and developing marketing concepts, implementing them internally and with subcontractors and tracking results which includes fundraiser communication and tracking. 
  8. Supervises work with outside firm to maintain state certification for general solicitations. Works closely with the Finance Department to monitor and maintain gift annuity registration in all appropriate states.
  9. Prepares and sends receipts, acknowledgements and thank you letters to donors when appropriate, including processing and maintaining all aspects of plaquing for donor recognition.
  10. Assists with preparation and monitoring of the Planned Gift budget.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.  
  2. Work Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of recent and related experience required. Paralegal experience preferred. 
  3. Special Training, Certification or Licensure: Notary preferred. Paralegal certificate preferred. 

Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000
