Summary

 

Position Summary
The Payroll Specialist is tasked with working with the Payroll Manager assisting to ensuring all employees are paid properly using internal systems and according to all applicable federal, state, local laws, and regulations.  Provides excellent customer service, complete confidentiality, and understands general banking processes and regulations, initiates banking transactions regularly.   

Essential Duties

  1. Maintains knowledge of all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and special instructions regarding the payroll process. 
  2. Independently incorporates knowledge of the payroll processes including review and maintenance of all payroll cycles. 
  3. Administers the Automated Time Keeping System, Kronos. 
  4. Assists with reconciliations including related payroll / benefits general ledger accounts and pay-period-ending worksheet balances. 
  5. Assists with implementations of any new legal requirements and communicates relevant updates to Finance and Human Resources.

  1. Outside of payroll processes, other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree preferred in Business, Finance or Healthcare Administration.
  2. Work Experience: A minimum of 2 years experience processing payroll required.
  3. Special Training, Certification or Licensure: None    

 

Salary Range: $24.00 - $28.00
