Summary

Rheumatology

The Department of Medicine at National Jewish Health is actively seeking dynamic BC/BE Rheumatologists that have a primary focus in clinical rheumatology to expand a growing Division.

 

The Division currently has 4 Rheumatologists on faculty, and a dedicated Rheumatology Nurse Practitioner. The Division currently sees the entire spectrum of rheumatic disease.  The faculty work closely with world-class pulmonologists to evaluate and manage connective tissue disease-associated pulmonary disorders including interstitial lung disease, vasculitis, and non-tuberculous mycobacterial disease.

The division members may have an academic appointment through the University of Colorado. 
  • National Jewish Health is home to outstanding Departments of Radiology as well as Immunology and Genomic Medicine which include world class Immunologists with interests in autoimmunity and Computational Biologists whose basic and translational science research programs contribute to the Division's success.
  • The Division has in-house infusion centers, physical therapy, musculoskeletal ultrasound and a bone health clinic.
  • The Division has unfettered access to the Institution’s full service Clinical Research Enterprise that supports NIH-sponsored, industry-sponsored, and investigator-initiated investigation, as well as an Institutional Biospecimen Bank and Research Informatic Services.

 

Position responsibilities include:

  • Outpatient clinical care, assisting in the daily management of the infusion centers.
  • Teaching residents and fellows, and participation in all academic facets of the Division. 

 

Qualifications:

  • BC in Internal Medicine.
  • BC/BE in Rheumatology, and have a strong commitment to clinical care. 
  • Eligible to hold a Colorado license.

 

Usually a minimum of three peer-reviewed, first authored publications on original research and/or important clinical applications of basic science, excluding case reports and reviews. As appropriate, the development and dissemination of intellectual properties may also be considered. Strong commitment to teaching and potential for outstanding teaching performance. Excellent clinical or service skills. Track record in obtaining initial funding for research program.

Salary Range: $180,000 - $220,000
