Summary

 

Position Summary
Provides logistical, administrative, clerical, and liaison support for Central Services, Stores, Mailroom, and Receiving at National Jewish Health, Denver Campus. This includes, but is not limited to, all aspects of inventory management including conducting physical inventory, distribution and reconciliation of inventory, and data management, assisting with various projects and mobile inventory.    

Essential Duties

  1. Assists Central Service manager with daily, weekly, and monthly reports; such as cost creation audit, order release audit, receipt accrual review, etc. 
  2. Responsible for daily management of inventory items located in Central Services.  Performs routine (daily, weekly, monthly) physical inventories for supply items located in CS.  Keeps current with inventory products located in CS as well as items located in Stores.  Assist with any problems, issues or opportunities with inventory supplies located in Central Service and Stores.  
  3. Responsible for routine inventory replenishment requests (ordering supplies).  Replenishment requests are done regularly based on PAR levels or on an as needed basis.  Tracks the CS inventory replenishment requisitions.  Identifies any issues, such as back orders, and communicates with Central Services Manager.  
  4. Responsible for receipt and putaway of Central Service inventory, including labeling patient charge items.
  5. Assists with inventory control management with all inventory items located in CS and Stores and works closely with the Stores Administrative Professional to identify inventory issues.  
  6. Assists with daily entry of patient charge items into the current computer system.  May perform audits and analysis regarding patient charge entries.
  7. Responsible for administrative tasks involving computer data entry and liaison with customers inside and outside the organization.  Analyzing various processes in Central Services and Stores which may include quality improvement suggestions and tracking of suggestions to show improvement.
  8. Assists Central Services manager with special projects for Central Services, Stores, Receiving, and the Mailroom.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred
  2. Work Experience: 2 years of Administrative Assistant or related experience required.  4 years’ inventory control experience preferred.  
  3. Special Training, Certification or Licensure: Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.  Knowledge of PeopleSoft preferred.

Salary Range: $18.00 - $22.00
