National Jewish Health is currently seeking an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) to join our team of occupational lung disease researchers in the Division of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences (DEOHS). The candidate selected for this role will be experienced with conducting clinical trials and be trained in phlebotomy. The ideal candidate will be committed to learning new skills and highly motivated. We are particularly eager to find someone who is willing to learn to perform breathing tests and other study procedures to help implement a new clinical trial, while being cross-trained to assist with our ongoing studies.
The role of a Senior Clinical Research Coordinator on our team varies some from day to day. Major job duties include study subject recruitment and interviewing for observational studies, conducting clinical trial study visits, performing high quality lung function testing, and helping meet study regulatory and funding requirements. Our work with western miners and military service members with lung disease has been on-going for 10+ years and continues to inform clinical diagnosis, treatment, and prevention for these at risk workers.
Our team invests in training our CRCs so that they become highly skilled at multiple tasks. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and have the ability to work both independently and as an integral member of a team. Prior experience with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulated clinical trials is essential. Occasional grant-funded travel with our team, primarily to the Western Slope of Colorado, will be required.

The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator will work with a preceptor to learn the regulations, guidelines and institutional policies that govern the proper conduct of research at National Jewish Health and learn to manage the operational aspects of clinical research.
- Learns and applies Clinical Research Guidelines including Good Clinical Practice, HIPAA regulations, CRS Standard Operating Procedures, applicable NJH Policies and Procedures, and FDA, NIH, OHRP, ICH guidelines as applicable.
- Masters all study materials, including but not limited to protocols, informed consent forms, and all other essential study documents for assigned studies.
- Learns and performs study-related processes, procedures, and assessments as defined in study protocol and in compliance with regulating bodies and NJH competency requirements.
- Complies with regulatory bodies to create and maintain study records, and if applicable, dispensation and accountability of investigational product.

- Education: Bachelor's degree required
- Work Experience: Clinical research or clinical experience preferred
- Special Training, Certification or Licensure: BLS required within one month of hire. CITI training required within one month of hire.
Salary Range: Starting salary for this position is set at $21.50/hour.
