Position Summary
This position is responsible for screening and providing patients with directions to appointments. This position will administer and perform COVID-19 screening questionnaires and/or swab tests.  

Essential Duties

  1. Greets patients in a professional, prompt, courteous, and helpful manner. Utilizes standard procedures for the maintenance of positive patient identification; verifies and records appropriate collection information on laboratory documentation.
  2. Screens individuals by administering COVID-19 questionnaire, witnesses hands free temperature monitoring or conducts temperature screen.
  3. Administers and interprets individual’s temperature using infrared thermometers.
  4. May be responsible for the safe transport of patients via wheelchair.
  5. Administers nasal or nasopharyngeal swab on patients.
  6. Prepares, processes, labels and stores patient specimens and samples according to departmental procedures using standard techniques and equipment.
  7. May administer the COVID-19 vaccine to patients.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  2. Work Experience: One year healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist, Certified Nursing Assistant, or EMT preferred. 
  3. Special Training, Certification or Licensure: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program, or current Phlebotomy Certification, or current Certified Nursing Assistant, or NREMT certification preferred. CPR/BLS required.

Salary Range: $17.00 - $19.00
