Position Summary    

Manages the daily clinical operations and administrative functions of a clinic or specific unit.  Collaborates with physicians, management, and other clinical leaders and staff to promote efficient, high quality care delivery that assures patient satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and provider efficiency.  

Essential Duties    

  1. Collaborates with Medical Director, Nursing Director and Division Chief in developing annual capital and operating budgets. 
  2. Proactively evaluates, plans and implements new or revised clinical services to enhance the volume, revenue and margin.   
  3. Identifies opportunities for alternative staffing, sharing resources, and staffing to demand.  
  4. Participates in assessment and implementation to determine the individual needs of the patients and overall program needs for the institution. Assists in the formulating goals and objectives: establishes standards of nursing care and nursing practice consist with the philosophy of the institution. 
  5. Assures competent utilization of institutional information systems, including identifying training needs, monitoring quality of order/reports/charging and maximizing use of system in department operation.
  6. Evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice on the units, analyzing appropriate internal and external data and information to identify opportunities in collaboration with Medical Staff, CNO, Nursing Leadership, and staff for improving services and patient outcomes.  
  7. Partners with others to identify and analyze opportunities for program expansion. Evaluates factors related to safety, outcomes, effectiveness, cost, and social impact when developing and implementing program expansion. 
  8. Promotes research, and integrating evidence-based knowledge into the identification of best practice in the delivery of nursing care to the appropriate population.
  9. Directly trains and supervises other clinical support staff.
  10. Provides coaching and feedback to clinical team members.

  7. Patient Relations: Meeting patient and patient family needs; taking responsibility for a patient’s safety, satisfaction, and clinical outcomes; using appropriate interpersonal techniques to resolve difficult patient situations and regain patient confidence.
  8. Problem Solving: Uses issue identification, data relation and comparison, pattern recognition and information gathering to create analyses and make recommendations.

Supervisory or Managerial Responsibility    

Supervises the work of up to 15 employees.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Education: Associate’s Degree of Nursing required, Bachelor’s of Nursing preferred
  2. Work Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of recent and related experience.   A minimum of one (1) year leadership experience preferred.
  3. Special Training, Certification or Licensure: Current Colorado Professional Nursing License and CPR/BLS required, ACLS preferred.


Salary Range: $82,000 - $96,000
